Phishing is a type of online scam where criminals send an email that appears to be from a legitimate company and ask you to provide sensitive information. This is usually done by including a link that will appear to take you to the company’s website to fill in your information – but the website is a clever fake and the information you provide goes straight to the crooks behind the scam.

Health & Welfare Contribution Increase

Effective November 4th, 2018, the Negotiation Committee and the Executive Committee has allocated the Millwrights $0.46 per hour increase to the Health & Welfare Fund. The increase of $0.46 brings the total Health & Welfare contribution to $2.71 for hours worked.

The Millwrights' Annual Children's Christmas Party will be held at the Telus World of Science Center on November 25th, 2018 between 9:30AM and 4:30PM. Potential Future Work at Ontario Nuclear Power Generation Facilities


Ontairo Millwright Locals 2309 Toronto, and 1592 Sarnia may be requiring Journeyman and Apprentice Millwrights for future refurbishments of the Darlington, Pickering, and Bruce Power Generation Nuclear Facilities.

A security clearance is required for these potential future opportunities to access the Nuclear Facilities, and do take time to be approved. There is a security application process that must be completed, and once approved, will be valid for five (5) years.

Want to work elsewhere in Canada?

The UBC has launched an online form for all Canadian members, including Millwrights, who want to seek work in other parts of Canada. The system  facilitates the quick movement of Canadian members throughout Canada in times of high regional labour demands. 

Canadian UBC members have priority for jobs in Canada and it is critical that we know of your interest and availability so we can dispatch you when there are opportunities in other parts of Canada.
