This course is to give high school students the opportunity to learn an introduction to the millwright trade. Students will learn the below.
History of the UBC
General safety, math for the trades, how to use hand and precision tools, measuring, layout and shop safety.
They will work on a shop project. This will let them practice the skills they learn.
Students will also learn how to disassemble and reassemble a centrifugal pump, rim and face and cross dial alignment fundamentals and work on power transmissions.
