COVID-19 AND YOUR COVERAGE: A Supplementary
Announcement for Millwrights’ H&W Plan Members
July 31, 2020 Update
On May 31, 2020, the Health & Welfare Trustees announced measures to assist Plan Members during these uncertain times. As COVID-19 continues to limit employment opportunities, the Trustees are extending the following measures to September 30, 2020:
• Active Member hour banks will continue to be frozen, and self-payments waived, so that Members covered for the month of July 2020 will also have coverage for the months of August and September 2020.
• Prescription drug coverage will continue to be increased from 80% to 90% for all drugs purchased between June 1 and September 30, 2020.
The Trustees continue to closely monitor Plan Members’ coverage and claims experience. Thank you for being prudent with your health and dental expenditures; we encourage you to continue doing so.
The Trustees take COVID-19 seriously. If you experience flu-like or other publicly reported symptoms of coronavirus, seek immediate testing, quarantine, and medical attention. You can get more information at the Alberta government’s COVID-19 website: alberta.ca/coronavirus-info-for-albertans.aspx
